SeaSalted Honey’s Sojourn of Return is an artist residency that offers Afrikan Diasporic literary + visual artists Sojourns to Afrika while providing the circumstances + care necessary to create mind, body, heart, + spirit-aligned art.

Sojourn of Return Residents are emerging + emerged writers and visual artists who seek to connect with the land, physicalize Afrika on the page or canvas, as well as fortify themselves in purpose + lineage while creating art based in liberation.

We are currently accepting applications for the 2024 and winter 2025 Sojourns of Return.
